MedTechExpert was founded by Marc Buckingham in 2013, in response to the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) directive for Safer Neuraxial Needles. Since then he has developed a portfolio of projects and products spanning the breadth of medical devices technology, and acquired a support network of professionals who challenge, feed, drive and contribute to the success of MedTechExpert.

The team at MedTech includes medical devices sales and marketing experts from many different walks of life, with their own support networks, and each bring a different aspect to what we do. This way, we can apply our skills to the greatest possible effect.
Marc joined the medical devices industry in 2004 as a sales rep. His career comprised sales and product management of products in wound care, continence, anaesthetics and operating room environments. He introduced various market leading products into the UK healthcare market.
In 2009 Marc became involved in the ‘safety connector project’ (now ISO80639), and consulted for companies all over the world on their adoption of safety connectors for spinal, epidural and regional anaesthesia devices. Marc remains interested in and connected with this project as a specialist consultant. After a spell working in international business, Marc returned to consulting and re-launched MedTechExpert in its current form – a network of specialists in the adoption of new and innovative medical technologies.
Fiona is a technical and quality expert who cut her teeth in the food industry, with 18 years’ experience keeping food products safe, legal and of high quality for human consumption. Her work in high-risk food products make her particularly suited to the similar challenges faced in the medical devices industry.
Mark is renowned for his in-depth industry experience and his confidential and ethical methodology. He works with qualified recruitment professionals who have operated exclusively in the Medical Devices and Life Sciences sectors. He brings a successful history of delivering the right people, thinking outside the box, and exceeding expectations.
After 18 years in sales management, marketing and business development in both national and international roles, Tamsin started FSBD Ltd 5 years ago. She now freelances in various roles in business development, interim management, sales and marketing. She will take the time to listen to your requirements and what you are trying to achieve.
